Job Title: Environmental Scientist

Location: Victoria

• Your strong communication and influencing skills will be an asset to the role
• Comprehensive report writing and analytical skills are necessary, as you prepare reports for internal stakeholders and statutory authorities, as well as
• Being highly motivated with strength in project management and the achievement of targets is critical.
• Experience in the development and implementation of air, noise and water monitoring programmes and investigations, along with understanding or experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems is highly desirable.
• An Environmental professional with an Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering Degree or equivalent with experience and exposure to working in a similar industry

 Responsibilities:

• Provide an environmental auditing service to ensure compliance with Alcoa's environmental policies and values and ISO standards.
• Assist operating, maintenance and functional personnel in the implementation of Alcoa Corporate and site-specific environmental activities
• Identify and implement projects that improve current and future environmental performance
• Implementation and review of Environmental Management Systems and monitoring programmes to ensure compliance
• Ensure environmental targets are met through working alongside our operations to achieve compliance with licenses and regulations, improvement initiatives and increase environmental awareness.
