Job Title: Commodity Specialist

Requirements:

• To be successful in this role you will have extensive procurement and contracting experience and understand the complexities of key commodities and services contracts.
• You will be able to demonstrate your abilities to develop strong influential relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally combined with exceptional communication
• Influencing, negotiating, and analytical skills
• Problem solving skills.
• You will be tertiary qualified with a Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Strategic Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business or similar.

Responsibilities:

• Be able to identify and drive business opportunities and process improvements to deliver business goals.
• The Commodity Specialist will report to the Commodity Group Manager
• Assist in managing the teams assigned commodities which may include production support materials, services (IT, corporate, environment), and site (plant) services.
• The Commodity Specialist supports the Team to develop, implement, and execute regional and global commodity/sourcing and contracting strategies which maximize commercial advantage to Alcoa. 
• Manage effective customer and supplier relationships and performance, on a global and regional basis, to drive contract utilization and continuous improvement
• Identify and drive business and process improvement opportunities to deliver business goals and reduce total cost of ownership.
