Aussie World Pub welcomes visitors to come for a good time, a great drink, decent Aussie tucker and a good laugh.  So whether you are a backpacker or a family travelling the Bruce Highway on the Sunshine Coast, Aussie World is a must to visit.

We are looking for the right person to work 20-25 hours per week including weekends. 

Duties:

•        Front of house and register work. 

•        Responsible for keeping café area clean, neat, and orderly

•        Responsible for following Health Department standards and requirements

•        Responsible for keeping all items stocked

•        Serves as a customer service contact for members at the café, including: answering questions, welcoming, and other member communications

•        Attends staff meetings

•        Follows daily and weekly duties

•        Maintains a thorough knowledge base regarding espresso, coffee, Apex products, bakery items, and smoothies, and is able to communicate such information to customers in order to better inform them of their dietary choices

•        Responsible for operation and maintenance of the cash register, and handling of café income

•        Maintains professionalism when not assisting customers; avoids eating, sitting, reading, watching TV, or any other activities that are not work-related

•        Other duties as assigned

•        Regular casual work

Requirements:

•        Must be well presented, a self starter, confident, responsible and mature.

•        Must be available 9am to 5pm with occasional evening work. 

•        Must be highly motivated

•        Experience in food and beverage service is preferred

•        Experience in a health club or the hospitability industry is preferred

•        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•        Good organizational skills

•        An understanding of food and beverage operations

•        Experience is preferred, however, for the right person training will be provided.
